UNDERSTANDING ADDICTION
Could you help someone who was struggling with an addiction? Can you identify the signs of addiction?
Understanding the signs is the first step in being able to support someone who might be struggling with an addiction. The signs and outcomes of addiction are different from person to person.
When someone becomes dependant on a certain activity or substance, it could be classified as an addiction. Whether yourself or someone you know is struggling with activities like alcohol, drugs or gambling, it is important to first recognise there could be a dependency at play.
It’s important to continue to seek support as long as you (or they) feel it is necessary.
